Most LeaDev-Langham partner schools desperately need more and better trained, more highly qualified, local faculty. There is critical shortage of highly trained leaders, especially those who view leadership as having influence more than control; and as a responsibility not a position of prestige.

Partner schools make specific proposals to LeaDev-Langham for support for faculty development candidates. The vast majority of these faculty trainees are sent for advanced study at another partner school somewhere in the Majority World.

A few very special PhD candidates of extraordinary potential may be accepted as Langham Scholars to complete their PhD research in New Zealand at either Laidlaw-Carey Graduate School Auckland, or Otago University, Dunedin.
